Terms of service
Last updated October 28, 2026
The rules for using Ringara, in plain words: what you get, how billing and cancellation work, and what each side is responsible for.
1. The agreement
These terms are an agreement between Ringara Technologies LLC (“Ringara”, “we”) and the business that creates a Ringara account (“you”). By creating an account or using Ringara you accept them. If you accept for a business, you confirm that you may bind it. You must be at least 18.
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.
2. The service
Ringara answers your business’s phone calls with an AI receptionist: it answers questions from the information you give it, transfers calls to the numbers you set, takes messages, and shows calls in your dashboard. Ringara is offered to businesses in the United States and Canada; phone numbers in Quebec are not available yet. We may improve and change the service; we will tell you before we remove a feature you pay for.
3. Accounts
Keep your sign-in details safe; you are responsible for what happens in your account. Admins of a business can invite people, change settings, buy and release phone numbers, and manage billing. Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
4. Free trial
A new business gets a free trial of 14 days or 30 talk minutes, whichever ends first. No card is needed. When the trial ends, the receptionist stops answering until you choose a plan.
5. Plans and billing
Plans are billed monthly, in advance, in U.S. dollars, by card through Stripe. Each plan includes talk minutes per billing month; current plans:
- Starter: $49 per month, 100 minutes included, then $0.45 per extra minute.
- Growth: $149 per month, 400 minutes included, then $0.35 per extra minute.
- Pro: $299 per month, 1,000 minutes included, then $0.30 per extra minute.
Extra minutes are billed at the end of the billing month on exact talk time. Calls shorter than 15 seconds and calls in which the caller never speaks are not counted. Included minutes do not carry over to the next month. Taxes may be added where they apply.
An upgrade starts at once: you pay the price difference for the rest of the billing month, and your renewal date stays the same. A downgrade starts at the next billing month. We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email; the new price applies from your next billing month after the notice.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time in the dashboard (Billing, then Manage billing). Your plan stays active until the end of the billing month you paid for, and then it ends. Payments are not refunded, including for partial months and unused minutes, except where the law requires a refund.
7. Failed payments and stopped service
If a payment fails, or your plan or trial ends, the receptionist stops answering. For 7 days, calls are then forwarded to the backup number you set (if any); after that, callers hear a short message that the line is not available. The service starts again when a payment succeeds or you choose a plan.
If the service stays stopped for 30 days, we release the phone numbers we provided to you, and they may not be recoverable. We email your admins 7 days before.
8. Phone numbers
Each plan includes a number of phone numbers, which we provide through our telephony provider. They stay assigned to your account while your service is active. You can also forward your existing business number to a Ringara number; your phone company’s forwarding charges are yours.
9. Your responsibilities
Every call starts with a notice that the caller is speaking with AI and that the call may be recorded. You agree:
- to follow the laws that apply to your calls, including laws on call recording, consent, privacy and consumer protection, and to tell your callers what they need to know;
- that the information and documents you give Ringara are accurate and that you may use them;
- not to use Ringara for anything unlawful, harmful, deceptive or abusive, or to send unwanted calls or messages;
- not to copy, resell, overload, attack or reverse-engineer the service;
- not to give Ringara health information protected by HIPAA: we do not sign business associate agreements.
10. Not for emergencies
Ringara is not an emergency service and cannot connect callers to 911 or other emergency numbers. Do not rely on it for emergencies, medical advice or urgent safety matters.
11. AI limitations
The receptionist uses AI. It can misunderstand callers or give answers that are wrong or incomplete, even with good information. Check your transcripts and messages, keep your information current, and do not let it make promises your business cannot keep.
12. Your content
You own the information, documents, and call content of your business. You allow us to store and process it only to provide, secure and support the service for you, as our privacy policy describes.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or others at risk, or is not paid. Where we reasonably can, we will warn you first. You may stop using Ringara at any time.
14. Disclaimers
Ringara is provided “as is” and “as available”. Calls depend on phone networks and third-party providers, and we do not promise that every call will be answered or that the service will be free of errors or interruptions. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
15. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Ringara is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, customers or data, including from missed or mishandled calls. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
16. Indemnity
You will defend and hold Ringara harmless from claims by third parties, including your callers, that arise from your content or from your use of the service in breach of these terms or the law.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Texas, and both parties accept their jurisdiction.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and email account admins at least 30 days before an important change takes effect. If you keep using Ringara after that, the new terms apply.
